Tamegroute Candle Holder Medium | Green

Handmade clay pieces, made with ancient glaze technique is unique to the small Moroccan town of Tamegroute which lies on the cusp of the Sahara Desert. Tamegroute is the home to a few atelier families who each own a oven and there own atelier. Creating pottery in a signature green shade the craftmanship and skill is beautifully authentic to the region.

What makes Tamegroute particularly interesting is that they often bear visible imperfections or scars from the kiln firing process. During the firing, the pieces may develop cracks, marks, or variations in the glaze due to the unpredictable nature of the kiln. These imperfections are not seen as flaws but rather as part of the pieces unique character and beauty.
